WC: 2025 Czech Team

Hmm we are currently 4 games in a row without concieding a goal. Friendlies with little value of course, but still a nice stat

Btw nice win 6:1 against Finland for our U17 also today
And no kachlir on U17.. encouraging.

Waiting for some NT announcements to give me joy lol

List of all our NHL guys which are available after regular season end. Going just west to east by standings:
Calgary: Klapka, Vladar
Vancouver: Hronek, Chytil
Utah: Vejmelka
Anaheim: Gudas, Dostal
Nashville: Vrana
San Jose: Rutta
Detroit: Mrazek
Buffalo: Kulich
Boston: Pasta, Zacha, Lauko

Definitely will not go: Chytil, Gudas

Very unlikely: Dostal, Vrana (I mean he may join the team for the friendlies, but I really doubt he will make the final roster)

Also unlikely: Klapka, Kulich - both will probably be sent to AHL, which makes me maximally angry, but it is what it is, Zacha - played with some injury lately, probably wont pass the medical checkout

Can go either way maybe?: Rutta - was injured and without contract, but he may return to Europe next year or he may want to show himself and secure new NHL contract, so he may go even without contract. Vladar - I would say the same as Rutta, Mrazek - really dont know about him, havent played much lately, also was injured, but he has contract and if he pass the medical, he may be good to go

Can and hopefully will come: Hronek, Vejmelka, Pasta (please save us again lol)

Already said that will be joining the team: Lauko

If I missed someone or have incorrect info about someone, please correct me. I really hope those last 4 Hronek, Vej, Pasta, Lauko will go ... Klapka and Kulich would be beautiful boost, but we cant have our hopes high in there lol. Rutta can be a suprise adittion, Idk but kinda feel like he may go even without contract.

From AHL we can hopefully get Spacek, I would also bring Chmelar and Mysak to Brno to show themselves.

From possible preliminary round elimination we can get: Klapka (will be cheering so much for this one lol), Kral, Svozil , Sale ... but I think only Klapka is realistic, since he can go straingt to final tournament, others will have to make it on time to Brno, and I dont know if that is even possible

Rochester is in the first round already so if Kulich is send there we are f***ed and there is no chance he can make it, also no Blumel again

God I hate AHL, the most irritating competition with the most stupid and stretched out schedule in the world lol. Like completely unecessarily stretched.

"S Davidem máme vše rozjednané a je to pro nás priorita. Určitě není problém v tom, že bychom chtěli, aby se k týmu připojil k nějakému datumu. Byl hodně vytěžovaný a potřebuje si po sezoně odpočinout. Vždy se domluvíme. Teď čekáme, jakou bude mít chuť," řekl Rulík s tím, že reprezentace získala příslib startu na MS od hráčů, jejichž týmy postoupily do play off. Konkrétní ale logicky nebyl.

That last sentence is interesting, of course it can be just some media speculation, but could it mean that both Necas and Hertl promised to come if their teams get eliminated?

Nice writeup. Jenik and Kral maybe? Their NHL runs are most likely done.

Thrilled about vej. Thrilled about hronek. Now just pasta. Agree about klapka. Would be amazing. I've been watching flames games because of him. He'd end up in our top 6. Give him a smart player like cervus.

Feels like this team will be a lot stronger than I thought.

We have our best dman. We probably have our best winger. We have a vest on best starter.

It's a nice start. I think the rest can be filled in quite well with our uninjured euros.

Semis may be in the conversation if pasta confirms.

And I love the coach.

AHL is bipolar. It is either great or it is evil.

Eg. Milota and fibigr just got sent to AHL to finish season. That is amazing! Love the AHL!

Blumel, kulich and klapka may be in AHL and unavailable. f*** the AHL.lol

I blame @Chainshot .. stupid messenger lol

Disagree with Honza Zoufal here...I think he would enjoy centering Pastrnak in the WC far more... ;)

Honza Zoufal has a lot of good opinions, but this take is completely off.

1. Kulich already outgrow AHL, it has nothing more to give him.
2. Rochester is doing very good even without him, do they really need him that much?
3. At WCH he will face better opponents overall and play tougher games then in AHL, and the argument that AHL is playoff so its more intense? Damn the whole WCH is so short, that the intensity of the games is comparable to playoff I would dare to say
4. This could be a really good preparation or intel for Rulik but also for Kulich, who he can play with, and where to potentially fit him next year in the OG team.
5. Its completely disrespectful towards the player. You played all season in NHL, did very good, made a huge leap in your career, so as a reward we will push you a step back and go play some nobody cares about playoff instead representing your country at WCH. Disrespectfull behaviour from the club towards player like crazy. Being in Kulich place I would just be "If you send me back to AHL, then guys I think I am injured and cant play" lol

Just wrong, wrong decision all around.

That's what I told you in this thread few weeks ago. :) Those are building pieces for a successful team on this level, and then we have enough good euro players to add to that.

Agree with you guys, it's too bad about Kulich. I am sure he would have got a real good opportunity on this team.
