    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I'm convinced this is a duplicate but can't find the original.lol.

I think it will be a very euro heavy roster. I don't expect many NHL players at all as the big 4 just had the 4 nations. So a bit more watered down .

From the NHL for us.. I'm really worried many won't be available and with contract.

Pasta has said he won't be going and I'm fine with that.

I'll wait till trade deadline to start speculating.

In a perfect world for me.. it is a mix of euro and AHL guys that can fill out our 2026 roster.

I expect all 3 Swiss guys above. Vozelink. Tomasek. Hajek. A few NHL goalies. Kauts season is over. Both Kase brothers. Sedlak. Maybe Zboril and simek? Beranek seems highly likely.

Hoping and preying for blumel, Spacek, Kral, jiricek sr, klapka, Ivan and Kulich.

For goalies.. vej and dostal don't have contracts today. They may by then though. I'd be fine with Mrazek as a starter. I'm hoping for 2 NHL guys and a promising third goalie who is young and drafted... Dobes, Malek, malik or zajicek (undrafted but feel like he's signing to overseas). I'd be fine with hrabal in that spot too. But I want two NHL guys ahead of that.

We have a Top 5 scorer in every single league that we can use for the World's.

Deadline done..

So guys available with contracts to my knowledge... I'm guessing about playoffs

Zacha, pasta, vej, Mrazek, gudas, Kulich...

Dostal may have a contract but he's due for a raise.

I don't expect zacha or pasta. I don't expect gudas. I'm hoping for vej and Mrazek. Hoping for Kulich assuming he doesn't get sent down.

That's about all I'm expecting from NHL. 2 or 3 guys.

Obviously if pasta, gudas and zacha want to come. Our chances to up.

Nucks have chytil and Hronek and I don't see them doing well in playoffs. I could see both of them coming after an elimination.

I obviously want Spacek, jiricek and Svozil but an quite skeptical. I want blumel and Kral too but am.thinking.longshots.

It will be a euro squad IMO. I think it'll be a very good euro squad at the very least though. I don't think anyone will have a stacked roster to be honest.

Sounds like a paper transaction sent Kulich to AHL to make him eligible for playoffs. So expect him to go to Calder Cup instead of World's which is beyond stupid IMO. He'd gain a lot of experience in Czech Top 6. Playing an entire season in NHL and then being sent to AHL playoffs is a backwards move.

Pretty silly if you ask me. The GM must think it’s better for his development to play for the Calder Cup I guess. I wonder if he thinks Rochester has a chance to go on a run. If he doesn’t then it’s extra stupid.

I get it when it's like Klapka, Ivan, Jiricek or Blumel.. guys that are playing in AHL all year. But playing full season in NHL (almost) and in top 6 majority and then going to AHL seems silly to me.lol

With Utah's playoff chances pretty much dead now, I hope Karel Vejmelka goes. A problem could be that we rode him pretty hard in our last gasp for a playoff push, so he might be so worn out from that that he plays poorly for the national team or declines an invite altogether.

I like all these guys but only one I could see is Zajicek as a 3G. FTR. Masin ALWAYS shows up. He is a warrior.

Good for the first camp, nothing outrageous. I would have preferred Malík over Brízgala, though. And maybe Měchura should have gotten a look.

Agree about Malik. I think the 3rd goalie should have some potential NHL future. So Malek, Malik, Dobes, Hrabal or Zajicek all may still get a NHL look and work their way over. Top 2 I'm hoping for 2 NHL guys but we will see. Mrazek and Vej both have contracts. Dostal doesn't. I think Vladar is UFA.

If Dostal isn't coming.. which is likely due to RFA and no contract ... Then they should name Vej our starter and give him a few weeks off before arriving in camp.

He never did very well in the national team. I think it's a closed chapter..

Okay. But if Vejmelka and Marzek somehow both declined invitation, who would be the number 1 guy in Europe, Josef Korenar?

Anyways, you have a nice pool of na-based goalies nowadays to choose from. The times with Hnilicka-Cechmanek tandem are indeed gone. :D

We have to rely on our european based goalies every May since we rarely get our nhl-goalies to join. Seeing Harri Säteri in finnish net is as certain as the coming of winter.

I think that if the No. 1 goalkeeper were to be from Europe, the coaches would determine it based on current performances.

It sucks because many will be ufa or without contract.. vladar is Ufa but I'd love him. Vanecek is in Florida and ufa and I'd love him too. Dostal is RFA and needs a contract which may be signed before then. Patera is also ufa. Mrazek hurt right now but contract. Vej is the most logical choice. Dobes is RFA too.

Imagine having this many NHL goalies unavailable.lol due to contracts.lol.

Korenar would be a logical choice. Malek. Stezka may be returning. Zajicek is already with team.

Any chance for Marek Kalus and Cibulka?
I doubt it but Cibulka was added recently and I would love to see him. Jiricek out for season. Not sure about Svozil or Spacek. I would welcome both with open arms first. Then it could be the Euro's running the show.

Hronek is looking good lately and he'd be a huge add but I'm honestly not expecting many NHLers or even a great team. Lots of injuries, expired contracts and stalled prospects. Bit of a nightmare season.lol

BUT Europe, things are going well so Rulik may be able to pull of a Finnish type run?
