Value of: 2025 3OA

Sure

To Chicago:
:hawks
-6th overall
-Jett Luchanko

To Philly:
:flyers
-3rd overall
-Nolan Allan

This is horrible for Hawks

Trade down and add Nolan on top of it and the big prize is a guy who Flyers reached on who is more likely to be a bottom 6 talent than top 6 talent

This gets us pretty close according to PuckPedia

2025 1st overall for 2025 3rd overall, 2025 29th overall, 2025 34th overall and the Florida 2026 first round pick.
The separation isn't that big this year. if it were '23 or '24, sure, maybe more. This feels more like '22 when there really isn't a consensus #1. I'm sure that would have been enough to get Montreal to trade down with Arizona. No way that offer comes close for Chicago or San Jose to trade down.

I would take it and run if I were the NYI. They likely get Hagens there, so it's kinda poetic.

I wouldn’t trade Rinzel alone for the number one pick, much less adding the number three.

I mean, that’s a stretch. I like Rinzel, but for Schaefer I’d trade him.

But yes, Rinzel plus 3 for 1 is what you call “out of town stupid”

Rinzel isn’t a throw in, he was really really good. Legitimate chance at being a 1/2 D. (I lean 2D)

ah I get it, makes sense.

Just wondering, CHI fans, is there something around #1 + Romanov for #3 + Levshunov? +- something?
No.

Also, I think you underestimate Rinzel’s potentIal, he actually looked better than Levshunov in their brief NHL opportunities this year. Having said that, Rinzel is older by a couple of years. When all is said and done I think most people will be surprised with how close they are in value to their respective teams.

Maybe I’m not up to speed enough on Rinzel. I think people saying they wouldn’t give him up for the #1 is pretty outlandish though lolol

I agree. I like Rinzel and his potential but I think Schaefer is next level. The one thing working in Rinzel’s favour is that he is right handed but I still think Schaefer has a higher ceiling.

Just curious what teams may be willing to trade for the 3OA.

A first line center or wing to play with Bedard would preferred.
What’s CHI adding to the 3rd overall? I’m assuming you want a younger top line forward; you aren’t getting that for just the 3rd overall, not in a weak draft like this.
