  • Congrats to our latest Sportsbook winners - GOLD MEDAL kihei, SILVER MEDAL fish7 and BRONZE MEDAL Sammy Kat - new tournament begins today 6/15
Kovalev had insane IQ. His issue was effort level. He was a superstar and an enigma despite coasting 9/10ths of his career.
I remember a 80 pt season showing up 1/4 games... That's 360pt potential... You're suggesting 800+pts I never realized he was 4x as good as prime Gretzky that's awesome.

It is awesome! I'm glad you could do that math all by yourself! 😘😘😘😘

Wait what? They don't have some kind of "passing" machine? Give me an hour and I'll design the passing machine from hell. Choose your passing speed and randomness. Just stack 30-40 pucks and duck...

BTW...trading Z may be the biggest blunder HuGo ever made. If Z is really friends with Demi, those two will push each other. Having two race horses competing for greatness is that once per many decades that their sum will be vastly higher then their individual parts.

This is an experiment that we should never fail to try.

If Bob Hartley said that Zharovsky is like Demidov... from a KHL coach... from a coach who played against Demidov and Zharovsky...

KEEP ZHAROVSKY!!

Let me introduce you to the Bauer SLINGSHOT Passer - a steal at $330. Featuring Heavy Duty Rubber Bumpers so it works & a Recessed Handle so you can carry it. Not satisfied with that feature set? There's also a Hidden Channel feature in the middle because making this non-hollow bodied would have been more expensive.

(no wonder hockey is doomed, this should be $28.)

Won’t surprise me if he’s on the team out of camp.

If they can negociate his contract in KHL, that would be nasty to see Zharovsky this season with Demidov.

I think the best thing possible is 1 year in KHL, but if he show flashs that he is ready to play in NHL and Demidov want to play already with him, Habs management will try to negociate to terminate his contract.

it's why I want Hugo to go after the Ruck's at the draft this year... we are perfectly positioned to pull it off.

They have a lot to figure out is an understatement.

I sleep sometimes in my life and today when I wake up, I have a huge vision. That would be a huge mistake to trade Zharovsky. Demidov try to mentor him, he will said to him that you need to work hard, Demidov is the best mentor possible, he isn't Nathan Beaulieu with Alex Galchenyuk, Demidov have winner mentality.

Hockey is a business, Hage story is beautiful, but if you want a great top 6 C, sacrifice Hage. If not, be patient and try to acquire something else, without trading Hage.

But trading Zharovsky over Hage, would be a huge mistake, that's my vision said to me.

It wouldn't benefit him at this point. He's like 175 pounds. He'd get killed.

He is that is correct but often things of this nature are manageable and negotiable.

Demidov in his 2nd season and Zharovsky as a rookie on our 2nd line when we are in a dog fight war in the Atlantic? I think we are too gullible to think how that ends up going. The only way that turns the needle is if they have Thomas or Hischier at 2C.

Let Hage and Zharovsky develop more. Lets not be M Bergervin and rush them to the NHL.

I can't find any examples?

Best I can come up with:

.."Ordinarily, Russian clubs can drag out paperwork or pressure players into extensions through the summer. Ufa has promised that the moment their 2026–27 KHL season or playoff run ends next spring, they will mutually terminate the remaining weeks of his deal. This will allow him to fly straight to Montreal and potentially debut late in the regular season or during the 2027 Stanley Cup Playoffs.."

Why do people keep saying he might join
this fall?

He has a contract and habs cannot buy it out. Agreement is he joins in May, like we've seen with Demidov..

If he can fix small technical flaws in his stride (needs more knee flexion with straighter back) he's going to be considered a powerful skater sooner than later. It's already gotten alot better since being drafted, expecting that to continue as his muscle mass increases. These flaws are typically attributed to lower body weakness.
