2025 26 Roster…too Soon

I hate to have any fond memories of the wild, but Brunette’s OT goal to eliminate the Avs in 2003 was friggin hilarious.

He literally was skating as a slow as a drunken beer leaguer, managed to dangle a player and the goalie and win. How such a terrible skater made it for so long I’ll never know.

and your franchise was in the news and all over for a franchise deafening scandal. so yeah , that will stick with your franchise forever.

Most people don't even remember that the Mild even exist. I suggest you trade him to us in the off-season or you risk getting nothing for him. Your prospect pool isn't good enough to lose a player like that.

Okay dude, time to leave.

There are rules on HF about going into another fanbases forum and shit talking. And if I was a mod right now, I'm currently in the process of becoming one (in contact with an admin who has told me he just needs to flip a switch to make it official), you would probably be getting a warning and/or infraction for this.

The fact is that the coverup over the events of 2010 are sickening and pretty much everyone here fully condemns the actions of the executives who allowed it to happen, along with the owner who blew up over journalists asking about it. But that has nothing to do with this thread. It has nothing to do with Kaprizov either.

Other fanbases can, and do, talk about players they like hitting free agency and wanting to sign them. Vancouver fans frequently salivate over Bedard and Celebrini coming home. Don't even get me started on Toronto fans about McDavid.

You do not need to come in here telling us that we're wrong. You don't need to come in here feeling threatened by what some idiots on a hockey forum are talking about. You do need to leave. This is the forum that you belong posting in.

Your current gm fired a sexual assault whistle blower lmao sit down kiddo just too bad the wild aren’t relevant otherwise that would definitely follow Guerin around more

The shitty people that did those awful things deserve to be remembered and hated forever. But to put it on the "franchise" itself....that's a sign of a deeper motive. It makes complete sense that someone who hates the Hawks like you would use that scandal as fuel to add to your agenda. Not the first time I've seen it, won't be the last. Its a shame really, cuz IMO several of those individuals deserve WAY more backlash than they've actually gotten and IMO they escape a large portion of the outrage because its usually directed almost entirely towards the "Chicago Blackhawks" as a whole/franchise.

The NHL is a hard cap league. Paying that high of a premium to retain your own guy isn't smart. I hope the Wild do it and you guys get to enjoy eight years of watching him there.
True but it would be badder to let him leave.

Try selling winning team after that to Ufa's.

Give me a:

Bedard- Tavares - Lardis line next year. Thats a lethal combo
If Toronto decides to let Tavares walk, I wouldn’t mind him on a two or three year deal. He seems to have a lot more in the tank. Still putting up more than a point per game, and nearly 40 goals, while getting second line minutes. Plus he’s winning nearly 60% of his draws.

I’d imagine the Hawks would have a hard time convincing him though. He’d basically be giving up his last few highly competitive years for a team that’s not going to win a cup during the contract. But who knows, Giroux did that.

If you haven't seen the 60 FPS version, it's even better.

So, you overpay the guy. He is a better leader than Foligno for these kids.

Sure, it’s a given that the Hawks will need to overpay good veterans to lure them. But that’s not necessarily going to work with everyone though. Tavares has never come close to winning a Stanley cup. If that’s important to him he could definitely take half the money the hawks would offer to play for a Florida, Dallas, or another legit cup contender.

Could Matt Barzal be a fit in Hawks? I have no clue if he is even available but he has some kind of history training with Bedard. And I have no idea what Islander would want from him.

What is Lardis' upside....Guentzel?
I don't necessarily see him scoring like Guentzel.....he's more of a Debrincat type player---really good one timer and snap shot and perimeter/dots player. I think one thing that gets lost is he's very fast and he seems to know where to go to get his shot off. I think he's a 25/25 type player in the NHL which for a 3rd round pick would be awesome.
