Gargoyles name Burt as team's first head coach

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro Gargoyles, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes and the American Hockey League’s Chicago Wolves, announced that Scott Burt has been named the first head coach in team history.
Burt, 48, brings over 13 years of coaching experience to the Gargoyles. He comes to Greensboro after spending the past four seasons as Head Coach and General Manager of the Rapid City Rush, earning 130 career coaching wins. ...
Prior to becoming the head coach in Rapid City, Burt served as an assistant coach for the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads (2019-20) and the Alaska Aces (2011-2013), while also spending six seasons as an assistant coach with the Western Hockey League’s Spokane Chiefs from 2013-2019. ...
