Speculation: 2025-26 Coaching/Management/Ownership - Read warning in OP before posting

If they bring a NBA team to Anaheim I'd be wearing my Laker stuff when I go to games and itd be extra home games for the Lakers like when they visit the Clippers.

I'd prefer that keep asking Arte to sell the Angels to them or move the Chargers to Anaheim.

Im just gonna say this one time. Don't be surprised if an NBA team is in Anaheim in 3 years time

Ehhh... I dunno. The best chance Anaheim had to having an NBA team was for Sacramento to relocate to Anaheim. We were so close to doing it too until former NBA star and Sac-Town mayor, Kevin Johnson, meddled like a villain in Scooby Doo, but the villain won.

For some reason, the NBA has lost a lot of luster for me and the viewership is declining.

Yah but NBA is dying for new franchises

I find it hard to believe the NBA wants an expansion team in OC, so close to two of its other teams. Lots of other areas they would expand to first IMO.

The other NBA owners would be pissed about the Lakers/Clippers getting extra home games. An OC nba team would still be like 95% Laker fans in attendance when the Lakers are in town.

Seattle, Vegas, Vancouver and Montreal are better options for NBA expansion/relocation.

And They’ve been given assignments like this regularly over the years. Completely and totally disagree with anybody who wants a new team. They call a great game and are a link to a better age haha.
Their the best, if they replaced them the Ducks are probably jinxed like when the Angels fired their broadcast team after 2009.

They are like a much better version of Steve Physioc and Rex Hudler who were once the broadcast team in Anaheim for the Angels and the Angels run of success happened to stop the same year they were fired in 2009.

Main difference is Hayward is way way less of a homerish guy than Hudler was and Hayward gives way better insight into other teams players and respectfully praises opposing teams players talent. They are both very passionate about their teams and will voice their frustrations about the refs/umpires on air.

Physioc was enthusiastic in post games shows but like Ahlers always very respectable Physioc had some very memorable game calls on various plays.

There is a broadcasting thread on this board, but I figured I'd drop this here also. We complain about them, but it is worth mentioning every once in a while that these guys are highly respected in industry circles.

Always appreciated their work. Hope they stay around for awhile.

I started watching hockey in '93 when the Ducks began, and Hayward's voice is just Ducks hockey to me. I had no problem with Madsen but Ahlers is solid too. They both seem like good people and work hard. It will be weird when they are not there eventually.

I think a lot of people that complain about them haven't heard some of the other commentators around the league. You don't know what you got until it's gone.

Yep. Using a different Angels parallel, I didn’t really miss Victor Rojas until the Angels cycled through like 3 different play-by-play guys in a single season.
Just having some consistency of knowing who is gonna be in the booth every game is nice.

Some of those replacement guys were personally fired by Arte Moreno.
The guy is starting to go senile era Al Davis when he completely lost it and started making puzzling decisions.

I'm afraid to login to AngelsWin forum because they had that thread called "The Official TROUTstanding Thread" and how depressing it must now be to look at it with how far Trout has fallen. The fact there is probably a lot of depressing threads detailing how much damage Moreno has done and continues to do.
I miss when the worst thing was arguing about whether Mathis or Napoli should be the starting catcher, it was like their version of Fowler vs Lindholm lol.
