2025 - 2026 Owen Sound Attack Season Thread, Part III

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Suprised os so quiet
It feels like there's an awful lot riding on the import picks to fill two critical roles in C and RHD. If they hit on both picks then they are in pretty good shape but that draft has been fairly swing and miss in the past. The situation at C is exacerbated even further if they can't mend fences with Max Delisle. It would have been nice to have grabbed a Czata or Griffen on the trade front to just lessen the reliance on the import draft.

What's really left at C on the trade front now? Rogowski in Oshawa? Romano in Kitchener? The RHD situation isn't pretty either with MacNeil maybe being one of the best potential options? I'd imagine prices will go up with so few pieces potentially available.

The biggest issue is trying to get kids to come to OS in trades.. I think that was a big issue last year with those two trades they made and they only got picks and no players.. it’s always been a problem with this organization.

Could be inexperience. Could also be confident in connections from the agency side of things that they can land quality European kids? They come out smelling like roses if they get two quality players through the import draft with picks they already owned but it's a pretty big risk.
