At least we should know before July 1 whether or not we will get him (as fans) and can pivot elsewhere in our rosterbating if it’s not us.

Just wouldn't want him getting confused and running Brandon Hagel in practice because that's been his job description for so long.
Problem with all of these rumors is they're so Atlantic-focused that it's hard to imagine us taking advantage of anything. Even the Leafs are looking to move Morgan Reilly out of the conference--you'd think they'd want to play him as much as possible.

I don’t know if they have the snarl and bite that the Florida guys have outside of Wilson, but between him, Dubois, Tuch, and the Protas bros, they definitely have the size to match up with them.

I mean it's not like we're doing nothing. No one has shit to report because we literally never tell anyone anything. The only reason we're getting Carlson talk is because clearly the agent got a call and blabber. All it takes is the other team to keep their mouth shut for there to be no Lightning rumors

Its not that we wont do anything, its that yhe options for top end forward talent are about gone. The reality is we dont have the assets to pull off a shocker trade. Not with the prices you've already seen the past week.
We'll make some move, and half of us will talk ourselves into them being good, or good enough. But I think we all see the writing on the wall.
Also, look at Washington lol. They're in a WAY worse position than we are and they're going all in with 2 big trades.
