It keeps being said the Raptors were stuck in no-man's land spinning their wheels. They just made a massive move to try and rectify that.

Might not work like the first time. And it still is odd as heck to me Kawhi was dying to come back to Toronto of all places when he didn't want to be here in the first place and couldn't leave fast enough.

But this just rejuvenated the entire fanbase and franchise instantaneously. Kawhi was dead to me the moment he left for the Clippers, and yet I'm back all in with him again now.

Welcome home, Kawhi!

I can't wait to hear your name announced during the Opening Night introductions. Scotiabank Arena is going to absolutely erupt. Hopefully that moment lights a fire in you to bring us another championship and cement your legacy as the greatest Raptor of all time.

Toronto basketball just became very interesting for the next 2–3 years.

2019 Kawhi >>>>>> 2026 Kawhi

That's ok though. This team was going nowhere in a league where you NEED a top 10 player to compete. They likely just acquired that, so it's a win imo.

Right and no compete = players leave or won't come. For Toronto competing and establishing a long term reputation of being a good destination is very important.

They could actually win with this.
