You knew the Yankees had to respond to the Dodgers bringing out Ice Cube. Wasn’t sure who they’d go with.

Buehler getting in a rhythm and starting to locate better. Yankees don’t seem to be able to pick up his stuff at all. 3 strikeouts through 2 for him. Both him and Schmidt have similar pitch counts at 37 and 38 respectively

Yankees are really in deep shit if Schmidt can’t get out of this

Can’t really allow any more runs here. 3-0 in this park isn’t much

Deep Schmidt indeed. Another walk and he doesn’t get out of the 3rd.

Huge at bat with Smith coming up. Yankees absolutely need an out as anything else might just put this out of reach.

Paradoxically, If the ump was in a better position a foot to his left he’d have called it safe, but I think it’s fairly “clear” Lux crossed the plane but didn’t get a touch on the plate in time

The fix is really in here first off. How do you call him out? I don’t know when on the replay you could clearly tell safe. They desperately don’t want this to end in a sweep.

Ooof… the front angle definitely seems like Lux got his hand in there before the tag but there just weren’t many good angles actually showing the hand. Given the context you know they aren’t overturning it unless it was 100% obvious. Thats some game management there for sure. Pretty bad but by Edman though
