OT: 2024 Washington Commanders thread: change we can believe in!

Hard truth time: we're not good enough yet.

We need a stud #1 CB who can match up against the AJ Browns and Mike Evans is of the league.

We need at least 2 more starting caliber OLs plus better depth players.

We need a big-body, big-play WR who can be the thunder to Terry's lightning.

We need a better RB1.

We need a genuine, #1A, games wrecking pass rusher.

We need to dump one of our over priced DTs for another young run stuffing replacement.

Look how far we've come despite all those holes?

And we still have the QB who keeps in this game when every other part is letting him down! (TD, Redballers!)
 
The day I see us disguise a blitz so they don’t know where it’s coming from and peel a LB or safety off to take his likely outlet pass I’ll be shocked.

JD5 bears some responsibility on that one. Eckler was wide open. There was no reason to make him go to the ground to catch h that. He’s been great, but deserves that called out.
 
We should've ****ed someone up in that pile. Warn us for Hurts trying to pull an offside? F*** him. And f*** him up.

the warning after the 3rd one was ridiculous. Different player and they baited em with the hard count

Just award the touchdown next time Hochuli, or we can keep this absurd tush push play legal

Nice try. No. Once the receiver has the ball, he is the ball carrier. Your shtick is everybody has to be perfect. Are you perfect? You're not. So STOP.

The defense blows. They play hard but stupid football. Can’t cover for shit and take PIs.

Daniels looked pretty good in this game.

Obviously a bunch of guys trying to do too much and not taking care of the ball.

Outmatched plus killed themselves=drubbing.

I didn’t say he has to be perfect, I said overall he’s been good. Im saying there’s more to THAT play than Eckler simply fumbling the ball. Having to get up to run increases the chance of fumbling. Again, Eckler was wide open, Daniels played a role on that particular mistake.

I'd say it was really 4 plays that killed us today:

The one play TD drive and the 3 TOs.

The score is awful, and the D hasn't been stout, but you can't expect them to fire up when they're constantly taking the field in their own end. Jayden and Ertz played their asses off.

But we honestly don't have the talent and depth across positions to take it all the way.

Yet.

But who the he'll would've thought that that would be "a hard truth" we'd have to face in the 4th Qtr. Of the NFC Championship? Speaking for myself? Ill take it.
