Jags fire Pedersen, keep the GM, Baalke. Ben Johnson isn't going to like that, but he's got three interview requests already. Giants keeping their bumbling duo. Hoping the Pokes keep McCarthy.

So far, neither KK or Lance Newmark (Redskins AGM and head of scouting agnd personnel) have any interviews requested. If we come out of this off season with the coaching staff and FO completely intact, that's a huge win.

Not when they were asked to play during the game lol…

There’s no reality where that’s appropriate IMO.
This. Quitting on your team in the 4th qtr got a couple other players suspended for the remainder of the season, or cut outright, already this year alone. It's not good, it's not excusable.

interested. whats the price?
It's essentially impossible financially for the Dolphins to release Tyreek, so it would need to be a trade. Would assume he could be had for a late Day 2/early Day 3 pick but I really have no idea. He might have to restructure his contract to facilitate a trade too, and it looks like it wouldn't be financially viable for the Dolphins to jettison him unless it's designated as post-June 1.

It feels like every game 3 more Lions defensive players get carted off the field and they still manage to scratch and claw their way to wins.

They needed to win to have a chance at the playoffs. So it did matter.

He costs 30m a year. He’s old. Pass from me.
I'll also add that as talented as he is, he isn't the big-bodied, steal-the-ball-from-a-defender guy that we really lack.

In a perfect world, the Jags would get goofed on Florida swamp-gas and trade us Brian Thomas Jr. (I know that will NEVER, EVER happen, so settle the eff down, dammit!), but he's the kind of receiver that would take our offense to the next level. Not just big, but also fast and great hands. (Also helps that he has 2 years of rapport with JD, but that's beside the point.)

Two 15-2 teams, a 14-3 team, and three playoff teams among the 11 out of division games. Brutal schedule. Just brutal. Our combined SoS, since you have to include the 14-3 Eagles, has to be about the hardest ever! @twabby can you run a spreadsheet on this?

Haha, actually the Giants have it worse because they play most all the same teams plus us twice. Damn!

Agreed on all fronts. Far rather sign Tee Higgins for 25m (or whatever) than inherit Hill and his mongo contract. Plus why lose draft capital?

Sure — if they can get him at like 15-18m a year, and give up a 5th or higher?

Sold. But not unless that’s the deal.

Very weird seeing articles this morning mocking the draft for the non-playoff teams or articles outlining biggest needs and what’s next for non-playoff teams and not having Washington listed front and center. I’ll take it.

Yeah, Mock Drafts this year aren't as fun because I can't trade down and acquire 14 picks this year. We're going to be drafting around 26-27depending on the Wild Card game vs Bucs.

BTW, Miami's loss, thanks to Tyreek Hill quitting on them, dropped their (our) 3rd round pick to 16th in the round. Our original 3rd that the Saints now have is 25th in the round.

Other than Detroit on the Road — that’s a good schedule. Not easy. But the best teams are mostly at home.

My dude, we have FIVE games against teams that won 14 or more games. FIVE!!!!! We play 8 games vs playoff teams. We have five games in the central or pacific time zone, four of them against playoff teams. Its brutal.
