Our d- tackles consistently get knocked off the line or pushed laterally. The Payne era should be over, with one year remaining on the contract maybe he is tradable. Watching Newsome there is nothing about him remotely special. Would have been nice to take Dejean at 36, we would be better off with him in the slot and Sainstril on the outside.

And Whitt is still Whitt. Forget his vanilla schemes, at what point does the coach bear responsibility for a team that consistently cannot tackle. Even Payne pushed the guy rather than tackle him, letting him get an additional 3 yards.

Sainristil is a freaking stud. He's grown steadily all season, which is all you can ask of a rookie (OK, a normal rookie.)

Surprised they haven't used him occasionally as a blitzer, which was a big strength at Michigan. Given the crapiness of our base pass rush, not like it would have detracted.
