Well, we may have dodged a bullet with Ben Johnson. Seems he's been angling to get Ryan Poles fired as a condition for being hired by Chicago. Or any other GM who he's not already aligned with, as another article suggests In other words, sounds like picky Ben wants to choose his GM, not the other way around. Getting the popcorn ready.

To be fair, Poles did seem like a bit of a dumbass in their Hard Knocks run.

Maybe get off your high horse before you fall?? ;)
LOL. Ironic comment is ironic.

Back to the Skins —

They actually have a chance to play in Tampa as the 6 seed as well. So basically any team could host them, Philly, Tampa, LAR.

He didn’t seem as bad as the Giants guy. My goodness

IMO Coleman will be our starting RT next year, next years LT is not on the team right now
I thought he had a really rough game Sunday night, but overall, he's been better than we had a right to expect for a rookie 3rd rounder. But I agree, I'd love to have a no-doubt blind-side protector, and given what Jayden has shown, I think AP and his gang will prioritize keeping him safe this offseason.

There's very little Left Tackle help that will be available in free agency this spring, and drafting around 26-27, we don't have any expectation of getting anything like a Trent Williams or Joe Alt type cornerstone. This years draft is light on OT's. It will probably be a lot easier to plug in a new RT than find an improvement over Coleman at the left side. Plus, BC has really grown throughout the year. He will continue to develop in his 2nd through 4th year as well.

I love the idea of franchise bookends like we've had in the past, but its not going to be easy this year.

Agreed. Coleman has been very solid for a rookie and will likely get better. If he gets pushed to RT, it should be because the team brought in (FA/trade/drafted) someone even better and not just because Coleman is bad (because he's not).

BTW, If we want a true pass protection LT, Wyatt Millum is the guy. Decent chance he makes it to 26 or so. Zero sacks, only one hit, in three years as a full time LOT starter for WVU. Impressive.

Round 1 - Pick 26

PROJECTED TEAM

Washington

PROSPECT RNK

59th

POSITION RNK

7th

Washington has done the best it could to patch the offensive line in recent years, but with Jayden Daniels in place, it is full speed ahead. Cameron Williams is a bit raw, but has all the traits to be an impact lineman.

He's purely a slow footed right tackle prospect. Never took a snap at LT and gives up plenty of pressure vs the pass rush.

Only three openings right now, but I imagine the could be a few more when the season ends. Hope we keep him for another year to provide continuity for JD, but KK is going to leave too soon.

I do trust DQ to find/promote a quality replacement. DQ has had about as flawless of a first year as could be imagined. Any critiques are nit picking IMO.

Seen a few suggesting O-line for us, none yet with the guy you suggested. I think they’ll take a higher rated non-LT and just build from there.

USA Today has this guy….OT Aireontae Ersery, Minnesota

I think we have enough holes they can just go BPA along a bunch of areas. Edge, LB, CB, WR, OT, TE, RB even. If someone they really like slips to us, I imagine they take that person regardless of position need, like they did with Johnny Newton last year. I mean if Jeanty falls to them they would be silly to pass, but its unlikely. A guy I really would love to see is Tyler Warren, TE from Penn State. Sinnott doesn't seem like much more than a great blocker at this point and Ertz won't hold up much longer.

Here is Ersery's page. Solid LT prospect. Ranked 1 spot higher (15th) than Millum (16th overall) by PFF.
