The WR I really want from the draft is T-Mac, but I doubt he'll be there for us unless we trade up, or he has a crappy combine. 6'5'' and runs like the wind.

I agree but I still think BPA is the way to go in the draft.

But it sounds like this will be much more of a desired FA destination than it has been in the past because of Daniels, the coaching staff/front office, and ownership.
It sounds like this draft is also a lot less talent-rich than the last few. Few potential superstars, more guys you'll hope to be able to plug in.

20. Washington Commanders (8-5)

Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri*

It has been a joy to watch the Jayden Daniels-Terry McLaurin duo thrive this season, but this offense needs more playmakers at receiver. I like the Burden fit; he's powerful and explosive, thriving with the ball in his hands as one of the best run-after-catch players in the class. Burden has had a modest 2024 season (676 receiving yards, six TDs) after a dominant 2023 campaign, but much of the downward shift can be attributed to a pedestrian Mizzou offense around him. Pairing McLaurin and Burden would be fun in D.C.
No thank you.

I don’t want a guy coming off a “pedestrian” anything.

Spend some FA money on WR. Not 1st round draft capital. Spend that on OL, DL, DB.

Period, end.

I'd caution against getting too rigid about positions at this point. I'm waiting until we get the full picture of who's declaring and who's staying put or transferring. Different mock draft simulators have both guys who haven't declared for the draft yet and guys who have entered the transfer portal.

At this point, it looks like there should be some worthwhile DEs available in that range, not so much on OL.

I'd be open to being a little imaginative with that pick if a Jeanty is available, or either of Loveland or Warren. A serious weapon at either RB or TE would make this offense unstoppable, whether we add a premier WR or not.
