Our d-line absolutely stinks. 4 rushers, 5 rushers, 6 rushers …doesn’t matter. All day for the QB. And in the rare instance they get there they can’t bring the QB down. Playing that loosely in the secondary with no pass rush is a recipe for disaster.

Payne’s contract is an albatross. I’m not super impressed with Newton so far, but I recognize that some d-lineman come into their own after a year or two so we’ll see. Fowler has come back to earth, getting no pressure at all. Armstrong is “meh”. I’m glad some of these contracts are short.

Ekeler plays a different role (33 catches on the year). If you're replacing Ekeler, you're doing it with a 3rd down/change of pace back.
