I seriously don’t understand why Doc Walker has a job analyzing football. Literally hours of gobbledegook with absolutely nothing insightful said. JP was commenting that our concerns about the offense may be coming to fruition, like WRs who can’t get separation quickly and he responds “I’m not worried about the WRs, I can get one at the local 7-11”. No analysis about why the d-line gives up 5 yards a carry or what the Cowboys did to stymie the offense. Just 3 hours of “they punched us in the mouth” (even though JP correctly said Dallas tried multiple times to give us the game).

Titans game no longer seems like a gimme. Levis is playing well and they won today.

Dread to see him ripping our weak ass D up next week.

For what its worth, It was 10-9 heading into the 4th qtr, then the Redskins offense outscored the Cowboys offense by 17-10 in the 4th qtr when everyone said the Skins defnese would be gassed. The Cowboys KO return team outscored the Redskins KO coverage team 14-0. Thats the major difference in the final score.

Just like the Pittsburgh game, we had far too many chances to bury these clowns and failed to grab any of them. An XP would have meant overtime, with momentum, or a 2pt conversion a regulation time win. This team still doesn't quite yet know how to play consistently and stop shooting themselves in the foot.

They need a true #1 WR, a game wrecker Edge rusher, a lockdown CB (have one but he's crippled) and some more speed/talent in the secondary. They probably need a stud RT also, Wylie was playing great until he got hurt, now he's meh again.

Maybe they miss Jonathan Allen more than some folks realize? They haven't won, or looked good on defense, since he was injured vs Baltimore.

I loved we blocked a punt. I feel like in the past 2 decades we have tried to block one proper less than 10 times. And succeeded never.

We had two defensive tackles attack the lowly 250 pound long snapper and drove him back into the punter and then into the endzone. Glorious to see we have a team that tries for them now. You can kill yourself to set up returns but still get a penalty half the time.

Baltimore-ish
Seems like .. idk ... the league has adjusted to KK. First looks arent wide open anymore, theres not a ton of open space after the LOS to scramble

Now its time to see if KK and JD can adjust to the adjustment. THIS is when you find out if you have something legit.

Ill see myself out ....

Take Command podcast w Logan Paulsen is really good breakdowns and must listen imo

If they know JD is less likely to run they can play more coverages designed to confuse the initial read and take away those quick hit passes. Losing two RBs will not help matters.

JD is going to have to be a running threat or else take the top off the secondary EARLY in the game to keep them honest.

I don't understand this need for a "true" #1 wide receiver when our guy is 4th in yards and 4th in TDs this year.

Fair question. The problem with Terry is that he can get entirely shut down by good corners. He feasts on the bums, but when he plays good CBs he can disappear. A true #1 WR would take all that heat off Terry and let him feast on #2 CBs constantly, while also the #1 guy would be much harder to shut down so easily. Looking at Terry's game logs he is truly feast or famine. Until his big long late TD yesterday he was 4 catches for 16 yards.

If we agreed that we don't need a new #1, then we clearly need a really good #2, when instead we have a bunch of 3/4 guys.

Dude was completely nullified until the Cowboys started playing to protect the lead.

They need a true weapon opposite him….call it a “true number one”, a 1b, whatever…..they need guys who can get open, catch the ball dependably, and make it harder to just blanket 17.

Too much of a drop-off after Terry. He has big games but i mean... He has 4 games this season where he's below 25 yards. He had 16 before the TD vs. Cowboys. Clutch play late but to me that's something that needs to be addressed before they turn into a real contender.

He would have had another huge play earlier in the game if it wasn't for blatant pass interference that wasn't called. If you want to talk about needing a legit #2, that's a reasonable conversation. But saying Terry isn't a true #1 is one of the most vapid takes I've heard all year.

I'm as annoyed and irritated as anyone else, but this is a good time to remind everyone that Vegas placed the O/U for this team at 6.5 wins.

We're still ahead of schedule. I came into the year thinking that it would take until Daniels' third season to be competitive, and we're competitive in year 1.

I love Terry -- he's a heart and soul guy, and a really good WR.

Not getting into whether he's a true league-wide "#1," he's been the hardest worker on the team since he walked in the door, has been the quintessential teammate, and he's been consistent as a Swiss watch while catching passes from more JV quarterbacks than a high school gym coach. He's also 6'0, 200-ish lbs and 29 years old. As so many have said, what he lacks isn't anything personally, it's just what the team hasn't given him -- a young, big-bodied stud to complement him. A guy who's enough of a threat that teams can't play Set-and-Forget with their top CB. Or, based on the way the 'Skins tend to use TML primarily on one side of the field, a running mate who threatens the other wide, so defenses have to cover the whole field.

Noah Brown has been a really nice, next-to-no-cost pick-up, and he has more of the physical profile of the type of guy I think we need, but he's too inconsistent with WAY too many drops/misses. Maybe he matures into that guy, but it's far from a given.

Unfortunately, the kind of guy we're missing (think AJ Brown, Tee Higgins, DK Metcalf, etc.) is pretty rare -- these guys don't grow on trees, and it's not like every team has one. That means they're very expensive, both to acquire and to keep. You might find one in the draft, but you could spend a first rounder on a guy with that profile every year for 5 straight years and not hit once.

This should be a top, if not the top, off-season priority.
