Dallas is a shell of itself. Titans are pretty bad. At this point it's pretty clear that philly will win the division but we can snag a wild card spot so I say rest JD through the bye and let mariota run it for a bit. He looked good the last time he played. We need daniels at 100% for this team to function against the big dogs

Jaydens worst game by far. Need to rebound next week vs shitty Dallas.

Oh boy! I get to be the one that says the unpopular thing!

Daniels should sit if he's not better by Dallas.

That "JD wasn't hampered by the rib" thing looks like total bullshit to me. If it's not the rib, then it's either another injury entirely or KK had some kind of undiagnosed stroke. I'm leaning toward injury, because Jayden's not been running much at all, isn't even really selling the fake, and has thrown about 37 balls into the dirt over the last few weeks. Something ain't right.

Our next two games should be winnable without him, especially if Mariota gets the reps and Lattimore can play. Then the bye, then another really winnable game.

Sit Jayden until he's healthy. We've not been as cavalier about JD as we were with RG3, but THIS is exactly how it happened. He had an injury that he felt he could play through, he was a shell of himself in those games, we had a backup that could play well, but we kept playing the franchise guy until we broke him for good.

Let's please not do that.

The Kliff cliff after 10 games has been pretty well documented in his time w TT and Cards.

Here .. we knew there would be a league adjustment, perhaps giving Steelers a bye week to prepare a blue print wasnt helpful (we did put up 27 which is really good)

JD was never going to finish the season with a 80+% completion rate even if we dink and dunk.

Lost that game in the trenches. For as much as they still need key skill upgrades on both sides of the passing game their trench play also needs work to go toe to toe with the best.
The OL was an area of weakness they did not seriously address, and all it took was an injury or two and some good defenses (Steelers, Eagles) to expose it. JD has looked more hurried and fidgety in the last 2 games because of it

OL lost them that game. They didn’t give Daniels time, but more importantly didn’t give their mid WR core time to get open against a very good DB group.

Granted, Philly currently has the #1 ranked D in the league.

They just don’t have the talent yet.

Daniels has looked a bit slower and indecisive running the last couple of weeks but he looked fine against Chicago and New York. Hard to tell.

They’ll win their next 3 games and then that last game against Philly will decide the division.

Last night was effing hell-- had to try to watch fom my phone from a hospital bed in CT. Didn't get to see a whole lot other than Coleman getting eaten alive at LT.
I don't know if it was the game or me, but the ref sounded drunk, Al sounded drunk and the Philly crowd sounded mostly disinterested for the first half.
We've got 10 days to ensure there's no repeat of ANY PART of went on on last night.

There's no "adjustment" or Kliff Cliff. We just played two of the very best defenses in the league, the Steelers front 7 may be the best and the Eagles have maybe the best DL plus some real shutdown corners. We put up 27 on the Steelers and struggled vs the Eagles, its not entirely that we just suck now, those are very good teams, both on 4+game winning streaks.

We definitely have some things to clean up, and sure, we're not firing on all cylinders right now, but its not some mythical thing where teams just suddenly figured out what to do? Not everyone can pressure the QB like the Eagles front four or Steelers front 7 can. Quinyon Mitchell is shutting down EVERYONE, so Terry getting shut down isn't on Kliff forgetting how to call plays all of a sudden.

JD's accuracy recently is CLEARLY a result of the rib injury, which the team will never in a million years admit to publicly. No team would, in any sport.

What? They have three new starters on the OL. Wylie was playing GREAT until he got hurt. Coleman was looking really solid until he went up against the Eagles. Biadasz and Allegretti have been fantastic. PFF had the OL ranked 3rd in the NFL prior to this game, but the Eagles DL is maybe the best in the league.

I cannot recall EVER seeing a team not attempt a hail mary at the 50 yard line at the end of the first half.

you never like to lose but we just got beat by a better team , if Philly had a better QB or if they made there fg they would have blown us out in the first half

we've come a long way and took advantage of a fairly soft schedule but our weaknesses are getting exposed , the good thing is we'll have plenty of cap space and with a better team we should be able to attract free agents to fill some of our holes

JD's sore ribs aside he has to get used to better D's limiting his time and space to make a play as well as being more decisive in what he what's to do .

anyway as long as we kick the shit out of the Cowgirls all will be good !

Im comfortable holding the opinion that JDs first looks are starting to be taken away and the box is started to get strategically stacked against him

I think hes seeing new D looks. Good. Give him and KK a few weeks to adjust to the adjustment.

general rule for me in sports -- when a rookie pitcher or QB starts out hot, the league will get film and make adjustments ... only after that rookie pitcher or QB shows he can adjust to the adjustment do I then say "this is who this player is going to be for his career"

I have 100% faith JD and KK will figure it out and adjust to the adjustment. JD will be a star for a long time.

To think it couldnt be the well paid D coordinators on the other side that is causing this and it is somehow a temporary cold spell on our part is a good bit hubris imo

Leagues biggest adjustment may be them taking away the run game more

Run game was huge for our rookie QB to stay on schedule

Well, he's been under more pressure lately, not because teams have finally figured out that pressure is good, but because he's faced two of the best teams at applying pressure. Still, he had a ton of drops vs Pitt, and no one was open vs Philly. I think its more about the matchups than the scheme, but we have some softies coming up to see if we can get things right again. Although Tennessee's defense is no joke.

Philly still has to play the Ravens and Steelers. So, if we take care of business over the next month, we still might have a shot at the East when we play them in DC.

I’m annoyed with the subterfuge over the rib injury because it’s being reported on every game by the sideline reporters. And by those of us who aren’t blind. Times like these I wish DC had better sports journalists, lol. As in - is the injury something that gets better with rest? Is it a cartilage issue that will linger? Is there risk of further significant injury? Should Mariota play a couple games?

I understand they would never want to admit that their play calling may be limited (esp his ability to run on RPO’s), but I feel like we’re getting Baghdad Bob levels of gaslighting, lol.

I'm guessing it's a strained oblique. They suck.

Any core injury is really, really annoying and can be tricky to pin down. They can be inconsistent. You can feel ok one moment and feel like you've been stabbed the next.

Just having your core in that state makes you tentative, and anxious, and even depressed. You hold back. It's called "guarding".

JD looked really down on the sidelines. Lifeless. I know he's normally pretty cool but there's a difference between cool confidence and looking like someone just shot your dog.

While the loss last night was frustrating, there’s still a definite path for this team to end up at least 11-6, assuming they win the games they definitely should win (over the Cowboys, Titans, Saints). Obviously it isn’t out of the realm of possibility to beat the Eagles and/or the Falcons, especially with them coming after we get a rest week. Long rest before next game, try to get back to winning ways.

That would make sense - esp given that he’s been up and down in terms of zip on the ball. There are a bunch of factors besides the injury that could also be affecting him - facing better D’s, injured OL, rookie wall, league making adjustments based on tape.

But if you can’t get enough torque on the ball to throw a 15 yd comeback route, maybe you need to sit? I dunno. I think him learning to take hits in the NFL is fine. And even if he can’t run as well. But if he can’t really throw either - what are we doing here? lol

He was decent against the Steelers, so maybe an over-reaction. Hopefully the mini-bye helps him and the other nicked up guys.

They'll never answer any of those questions, not in any meaningful way. Injury status is always subterfuge. In every sport. No coach will admit he's sending his guy out there while he's handicapped, or that the backup should be playing but he's not, because, reasons?
