List of Free Agents. On first glance, who are you bringing back, who are you moving on from?

- WR Dyami Brown -- Keep
- WR Noah Brown -- Try to replace w/ Higgins
- WR Olamide Zaccheus -- if not replaced w draft pick, bring back cheap
- TE Zach Ertz -- keep if he'll take another 1 year deal
- P Tress Way -- Keep -- the last great Redskin
- K Austin Seibert -- Keep if cheap, can cut in camp if he doesn't come back healthy/accurate as he was most of this year
- K Zane Gonzalez -- Camp fodder
- DL Dante Fowler Jr -- Walk
- DL Clelin Ferrell -- Walk
- LB Bobby Wagner -- Keep -- mix of production and professionalism/mentorship
- CB Benjamin St Juste -- free ride to the Greyhound station
- CB Noah Igbinoghene -- Walk -- Sign or draft another outside corner and move Mike back to the slot/star
- S Jeremy Chin -- Keep
One man's opinion

Note that all "keeps" are provided their price/term demands are reasonable (subjective as hell, I know -- but there's not one guy in the above list that I'd say are must-re-signs. Maybe Wagner, but at his age, he's probably more valuable to us than anyone else, so don't expect his price to sky-rocket.)

I absolutely f***ing loathe Philadelphia, the place is a literal shit hole I worked there a few times at the ship yard. Their fans are god awful and literally eat horse manure. The fumbles are so unbelievably frustrating because we were still in the game on all the turnovers, Chiefs by 100 million points. Side note a friend of ours went to the game (I highly advised against it) and said it was the worst time of their lives. What a bunch of f***ing morons that place breeds, thank god the flyers absolutely suck and will never be the franchise the Caps are. f*** this. How does any fan look at Sirianni and like him?

Eagles fans are absolutely loathsome creatures. They didn't keep the jail cell in the new stadium, which would be OK if they had replaced it with an electric chair, but they didn't. So now the only places in the stadium that are suitable for Eagles fans are the toilets. (I mean inside the bowls.)

It feels like Lattimore’s emotional issues are what they are because he has gotten older and more injured and hugely competitive people often struggle to accept that they aren’t the player they once were.

As a Torontonian I also despise that city. I will forever love the Raptors and Kawhi for hitting that shot in 2019 to ensure the 76ers didn't advance to the conference finals.

Yeah it’s going to be a challenge to field a roster let alone a competitive one for next year. Peters is in a very difficult spot, but having your QB1 is a big advantage.
Why? Don’t they have like 80m in cap space?

List of Free Agents. On first glance, who are you bringing back, who are you moving on from?

- WR Dyami Brown — keep
- WR Noah Brown — keep in cheap
- WR Olamide Zaccheus — bye
- TE Zach Ertz — keep
- P Tress Way — keep
- K Austin Seibert — keep
- K Zane Gonzalez — bye
- DL Dante Fowler Jr — keep
- DL Clelin Ferrell — bye
- LB Bobby Wagner — KEEP
- CB Benjamin St Juste — f*** off?
- CB Noah Igbinoghene — bye
- S Jeremy Chin — keep
8 guys I’d keep. Probably cost 3-4m on average for them. So let’s say 30m for the group.

Just IMO.

I’d try to sign that linebacker from the Eagles, that dude is good

The Eagles signed three Free Agents off the literal scrap heap that played at an All Pro level for them this year, Zach Baun, Barkler and Mekhi Becton. They were all basically discarded from their previous teams and the Eagles got them for free and all of them played at an extraordinarily high level for them. Its these kind of moves that helped propel them back to the top of the NCFE and the Super Bowl. The kind of moves AP will need to make to keep pace.

The Eagles aren't going to let Baun go easily. They have very few other significant UFA's and enough cap space. Basically we need to go find our own versions of Baun, Becton and Barkley.

Baun pisses me off most, mostly because my small, emergency back-up team (SEBUT), NO, so clearly screwed the pooch with him.

They drafted him as a pass-rusher, which he was in college, but he couldn't translate it to the NFL. Rather than trying him out elsewhere to see if he could play, they just relegated to him to seldom-used rotational edge rusher.

Nice going, defensive HC Dennis Allen. If you're still wondering why the Saints finally dumped your ass, here's a perfect example. (You can ponder that while the rest of us ponder what the hell took them so long. Putz.)

The Commies' free agent list is interesting. Do they bring back Wagner at his age? Gotta think so. Mariota? Chinn? Fowler? Ertz? Either of the Browns?

Do they spend on Tres when he's so infrequently used in this system?

Wagner, yes, for one more year.
Mariotta, yes, he's the perfect backup for us and proved a few doubters wrong when he won two games in relief.
Chinn, not sure, probably not, but will need a better replacement, and I'm eyeing Nick Emmanwori from South Carolina, he's physically a Sean Taylor clone, without the perfect instincts.
Fowler, no. Need more pressure and better run defense.
Ertz, yes. 11 catches, 111 yards yesterday, he still has some gas left.
Noah Brown yes - solid #4 WR on a good team.
Dyami Brown no - easily replaceable one trick pony who's "breakout year" was really just a handful of decent games, and a lot of being on the bench.

Reminder to all, we still have a TON of holes on this roster and as we knew at the start of the year, we're a few great off seasons away from really competing for the SB.

Is there something exceptional about Hurts that they don't use the backup for this, or snap to a RB or whatever? There's certainly no disguising what's about to happen... Seems nuts to me.

I think most us (at that point) hoped Luvu would do it again just to force the league to be in some weird ass waters

Bobby Wagner - was telling the refs they couldnt do that bc Eagles were lined up offsides, which they were

My gripe - just enforce the rules.

1. Call false starts - Kelce (and the IOL) would ALWAYS start moving before ball snap
2. Call offsides - guys on O line and D line were literally touching helmets .. cant let the ealges O line be leaning over the neutral zone ... and then they move a half second early

They explained during the telecast there's some kind of bad faith play rule or whatever that lets Refs award a score. It seems hinky.

IINM, the rule was implemented officially in about 1964 or so after a DB that was returning what was a sure pick six down the sideline, was tackled by a player who ran into the field from the bench. The refs awarded the touchdown because they'd never seen such a situation, and they codified the rule a while later - blatantly intentional illegal acts can be punished by awarding the score. I think the application in the game I described above was appropriate. In the Eagles game last night, it was not.

Instead the ref should (after a warning) have awarded Luvu an unsportsmanlike penalty, the first of which which would have just been half the distance to the goal. The second one should have been another unsportsmanlike which would have been a disqualification. That feels like the right way to have handled that situation. The Eagles still needed to make a snap (no fumble) and succeed on the play, so giving them a free TD when its not guaranteed they would have scored, was wrong.

But it was also only one sequence in an otherwise lost cause.

the league is plagued by bad officiating and with the rise of sports betting it becomes very curious why refs would call/ not call pi or call yardage short, refuse to call late hits etc

as a commander fan I've seen way too many calls that are so bad it makes me question whether a corrupted influence is involved. just call shit fairly and impartially.

The only problem with that is without a cut-off point you could go through the entire roster taking unsportsmanlike penalties, which would take forever and empty the bench and presumably lead to a forfeit.

I love Ertz as a player but he needs to run with the ball closer to his body in general.
I think going into next camp, ball security has got to be a major theme. (That, and catching the ball before it reached your facemask or chest-plate.)

This is good news. Hopefully a deal gets done easily. He’d be hard to replace as Jayden’s safety valve, and RZ target. Not sure how the org views Sinnott long term.

Given that the rest of our receiving corps is Sinnott, Bates and a bunch of replacement-level WRs who are all free agents, ensuring that Jayden's #2 target comes back should be paramount. He's not perfect, but he's less likely to drop a catchable ball than any of the FAs to be.

Our Super Bowl tradition is to cook foods from both cities that are playing--since we almost never care who wins. So I'm pretty stoked this year for cheesesteaks and bbq. But, maybe we'll just go bbq. I can't with Philly.

Smoked Brisket French Dip sandwiches, combines the two cities, but skips the awful cheese wiz that Philly cheese steaks are known for. That shit is gross. I like your tradition, I think I'll borrow it :D

I thinks thats a problem that teams would handle themselves.... no one would intentionally get themselves ejected, but if they did it by accident, they surely can't be dumb enough to do it a second time.

good idea! that might do, tho I would NEVER use cheese whiz... never. authenticity be damned. also, you can't borrow it... but it is for sale at a low, low price. ;)

I'll offer up a bootleg copy of Mean Girls on Laser Disc, final offer!
Weird detour ... I saw a thing on Reddit where a guy just took home a RedBox video rental vending machine, opened it up and got to keep whatever DVDs were in there.

Apparently Redbox doesnt exist anymore and those vending machines and anything inside it is "abandoned property"

Last week, Im at the 7-11 in Laurel on Route 198 near Total Wine ... and theres a RedBox machine just sitting there.
