Mariota is gawdawful. Hopefully he can just be perfect in taking snaps and executing handoffs -- with the very occasional overthrow on the boundaries to keep the D honest.

Okay, great. But for $6 million in cap space, we'd like to be able to lean on him to actually play football. How about we pay $6m to a Cunningham or Vick or Newton or some other ex-mobile QB for the experience and advice and guidance AS A COACH and maybe get a backup quarterback that can maybe play some quarterback with our cap money? Mariota is horrible.

That Quarterback documentary soured me on him, so I admit I give him pretty much no leeway. I do wish we'd made a different call at that spot.
