and they couldnt find space for Kam Curl ..

Of course they had the space for him, but either 1) they didn't feel he was worth the price he was asking for, or they offered him a deal and he chose to go elsewhere. They didn't feel he was worth a franchise tag either, and we have to agree there.

I never heard them say "we really like Kam but we can't afford to keep him". They just made a decision he wasn't a value they were going to invest in.

He could’ve actually wanted a change, too

someone posted this on the commanders reddit. I'm not going to lie making additions like stripes would greatly improve the current uniform

The apocalypse is upon us….lol….
Yikes! Things were already weird, and uncertain in the new NIL/portal era. This will just accelerate the mess that is college sports. I think we’ll end up with 2 super conferences, and a players union eventually.

I can sympathize with the sentiment that we are losing the “magic” of amateur kids just playing for the love of their school/region.

But, it’s a billion dollar business and the only ones who weren’t making money were the kids risking life and limb on the field. So, get these kids some contracts!

Completely agree with this. It was big business. Hopefully those placing D1 who might never make the the pros get some level of renumeration for putting their bodies on the line.

The rule that you have to be 3 years removed from high school before entering the NFL always screamed as unfair and anti trust. The NBA and MLB got rid of that dumb rule and you can enter the league at any age now. Even in the NHL you have Bedard in the league at age 18.

If you are going to force students to play in college sports because you dont want to invest in a minor league system like in football you should start paying the players. The NCAA makes so much money off these kids They are now just getting a sniff of their own likeness in jersey sells, commercials, and video game use.
