He does not look very impressive, to put it mildly. Don’t want to get too down about small sample sizes when he might be trying to impress a new team but that looping swing looks full of holes.

Wagner’s swing looks compact and vicious, though. Love it.

Looks like a young Jeff McNeil or some such although stockier and more explosive.

And I know the sample size is tiny and things get real when teams get a book on a player like this … but this *looks* more impressive than what Schneider did last year.

Of course it can't tell you what'll happen in the future. Nothing can. But analytics sure can do a better job of helping you make educated guesses about that future than a lot of other options.

Whenever I think about complaining about hockey refs, I always stop and think about the fact that most of them don't seem to be contemptuous assholes like baseball umps. They might make bad calls, but umpires seem to make spitefully bad calls on purpose with big "f*** you, I'm the king around here." energy.
