My guess is Mateo was there to make the play on the bag and not just blocking the base path without being involved in the play at 2nd? Or the ump decided he wasn’t making it to 3rd, which would be BS.

Not just that. also the confusing mess of the walk/not-walk/check-swing stuff that seemed exceptionally delayed in terms of making rulings or demonstrating what was happening.

It's not so much "lol umps they're so wrong" as it is "lol umps come across like they don't know what they're doing."

lol i mean i'll take the two wins if the Jays wins this one but something got to be done about the offense 3-2 and 2-1 wins are not sustainable in baseball even with good pitching. An average offense usually score around 4.3 to 4.5 runs a game. And this is an average one.
