This is what happens in today's game. It's all about branding and marketing. The team decided to put all their eggs in Vlads basket and pump up his tires before it was really justified. He's been grossly overhyped by all involved to the point where people expect far more than he's really capable of. He's not a Franchise player or somebody you build around. No freakn' way. I shudder to think about his next contract once his team controlled years are over. He's been overhyped so badly that he's going to get a disgustingly bad contract just because his brand is so large. His casual frat boy attitude is that of losers and not of players who win.
It is unbelievable how often MLB gets these calls wrong but it shouldn't be surprising because the sport has been infected with dogmatic, superstitious apes for a very long time. There is a culture of ignorance that results in misinterpreting evidence that has been bread into and reinforced by generations of ball players that is evident in every corner of the game. This includes video review where confirmation bias and empirical evidence overlap before being run through a filter of truisms that unsurprisingly results in these shockingly stupid outcomes.they must have had an angle we didn’t see because that didn’t look definitive
It’s too late, A&W has his wrapped upTimes up for Vladdy. He’s legit garbage. We gotta move on from him.
To be fair. The hype on Vlad was very much warranted. What he did coming up through the minors was something to be very excited about. Vlad/Bo had the makings of an incredible one two punch for the forseable future. His dad being a great expo. It’s the story a franchise should be hyping up. Vlad is the actual problem. Since that first hr derby I feel like he started to regress. How a power hitter can’t hit a ball in the air is beyond me. He’s never had to make adjustments or deal with these kinds of struggles coming up and now that he’s had to he just hasn’t been able to do it.This is what happens in today's game. Teams found the hole(s) and he adjust for awhile then reverts back.To be fair. The hype on Vlad was very much warranted. Varsho is hitting like we hope Vladdy would and Vladdy is hitting like we expected Varsho would. So it balances out.On a positive note, Varsho hitting has become a very exciting development early in the season.
Barger starts his first career MLB game at LF, a position he's never played.
Despite his terrible game yesterday, Vlad is like 4th in OPS on our team. Complain about Vogelbach instead. And Vladdy is playing but Turner isn't. Makes sense.
I agree but realistically this organization will never hold Vlad properly accountable. Only way he has a chance of bouncing back is in another organization. And Vladdy is playing but Turner isn't. Makes sense.
Actually he ranks 8th on the team in OPS and 10th against RHP specifically.Despite his terrible game yesterday, Vlad is like 4th in OPS on our team. Complain about Vogelbach instead.
