I'd be very curious to know what happened between the playoffs last year and the beginning of the season where the Jays were one of the least aggressive team on base to the beginning of the NYY series where they started to be more aggressive. But i like it it's a lot more fun to watch.

What was the reason behind those uniforms the Padres wore last night?
I don’t think I’ve seen uglier uniforms in any sport.

It was a 3rd uniform i suppose. It was ugly but had a Miami Vice vibe to it which was fine i guess. Don't mind a team going wild with a uniform they wear once in a while.
 
It’s so easy to pinpoint the Jays offence as being an issue, but pitching has still put up one of the worst ERAs. Plus the defence has easily been the best in baseball.

They still haven’t hit their stride but the offence is starting to manufacture a bit more (4th in wRC+ last 14 days). Bullpen needs to get sorted but the starters need to start throwing more innings as well.

Based on the other City Connect uniforms we've seen, I think it's safe to say whatever they come up with is going to be really, really bad.

I wouldn’t be opposed to something reminiscent of the late 90s era with the white jersey blue sleeve look. I had one of those jerseys back in tha day. Wish I still had it.

Pitching has been solid the last 10 games. As a group, it was really bad only in the Colorado loss

But yeah, need more innings from the starters. It'll come with Gausman and as Yariel gets more starts under his belt
 
It boggles my mind that anti-stats people will whinge about analytics and claim they're meaningless numbers that don't reflect anything, then will do what Buck just did and bring up "opponent batting average vs 3-6 hitters in a lineup" as if that isn't just noisy junk is nuts.
