A few takeaways:

• Boldy & Gaudreau are gonna be good together. Boldy was probably our best forward.
• Smith & Leonard looked ready
• I liked Tkachuk with Zegras and Caufiled.
• Hughes was our best dman, we should be playing him in the top 4.
• Werenski & Jones looked rusty
• Vlasic & Sanderson looked steady

This is going to be one of those teams that looks absolutely amazing in 2-3 years time because it has young guys like Smith, Leonard and Augustine who will be NHL studs...to go along with a group of current NHL stars here..we never get them all in their prime together, but this years team from top down has the chance to be better than the Kane years.

Look back at those Kane teams and at the defense. Some young studs on those teams with maybe 1-2 soild NHlers. This team blows those out of the water at defense. Goaltending is about the same..Kincaid and Schneider respectively...if we could only ever land that legit #1 when we get a turn out like this...

Where was this broadcast in the States? How were you guys watching?

Anywhere great prep game, Yanks step ahead for most of the game and just brutalized our weak points.

Also, The boys are back in town is a great goal song and I have PTSD from it after this game. Wonder if they use it at the championship too.
