With MoneyHands Monahan potentially gone I’m looking at a short term deal for Stamkos (unlikely) or Vladimir Tarasenko. Nothing else worthwhile exploring if that doesn’t work out and that’s fine. We are window shopping more than anything.

Crazy how many bad players one GM can sign in a couple seasons.
Lol and this was Bergevin with his job on the line. He didn't trade away picks and prospects to overpay and get good players as a last ditch effort, he instead doubled down on mediocre players.

So Chicago - who is also rebuilding - has no problem acquiring two guys who can play in the top-6 and we're doing what exactly?
Chicago also need to speed up their rebuild with Bedard entering the 2nd year of his ELC and much more cap space.

Had Bergevin not handcuffed us with Anderson, Gallagher, and Dvorak taking up a combined 16.5mil (Almost 20% of our cap space), Kent would have more room to work with and be aggressive.
