But there's no way we go into this year looking the same. Trades be coming me thinks.

Just have to wait until the wheel stops spinning for the free agency spending frenzy. Some teams will lose out, and that's when trade talks can begin again.

It start at noon. The news you are seeing right now are teams re-signing some of their UFAs/RFAs at the last minute (or it was done yesterday and not shared until today).

Absolutely.

Would prefer Trenin, but would take him.

He might be content to take a 2, or 3 year deal here as he has his two cups, get some money and then potentially peace back to Russia.

Why? If they need a depth RD they would have kept Kovacevic.

I think they may grab a guy like Savard when he signed here. They need depth higher up on the RD and Kovy being a 6-7 dman is which isn't it. Can't run with all young D and Savard likely gone at the deadline.

It's not based on the cap. It's based on minimum wage, and is part of the CBA. It hasn't changed. It's still $1.15m. RHP & Pezzetta can be sent down with no cap implications.

Ah okay thanks for the info, thought it was an amount adjusted based on increases. Years of flat cap confused me lol. Was hoping we could give some bottom 6 type of depth some higher amounts as a result of that

Carolina will likely have some young players on D next season. They've definitely lost depth.
