There is truth that the 2015 was underachieving, if remember correctly their run differential was good.
Yeah, this feels like what people thought last year was. This has to be the most disappointing, miserable season in franchise history.
Feels like last year never ended and just continued getting worse, steady going downhill with seemingly constant bad decisions.Yeah, this feels like what people thought last year was.
It was to be expected, maybe not this bad but outside of Vlad, their lineup really doesn't scare anyone. IMO instead of putting all their eggs in the Shohei basket, they should have added more to this team than Vogelbach and Turner. This has to be the most disappointing, miserable season in franchise history.
I don't follow. The team's medical professionals have confidentiality obligations as well. It's not like they are going to go run and announce to the public and his family he's trying for a baby.He said in his statement they kept it private from even their family. Infertility is not easy to deal with and can be hard and feel shameful

All he (and all these other professional athletes) need to do if they are obtaining treatment outside of the team, is to check in with the team.
He admitted that he wishes he told the team. All I’m saying is that infertility is a sensitive subject. There is a lot of shame that people associate with it, some people wish to keep that matter private. It doesn’t have anything to do with thinking the team would disclose. He's also a young guy, so he probably wasn’t even aware the team could help you with that.
At the end of the day it was a simple mistake, it’s not like he was cheating. He tried to deal with a situation, the doctor screwed him, he also should have been more diligent in checking. But it’s just unfortunate all around. Don’t think there is any blame to put on anyone here.
It looks like he's been working with a fertility clinic - would they be able to clear things up or would there be privacy issues in play?
They were too busy driving the organization over a cliff.
Excellent question. Teams should be proactively testing their players. Why weren't the Jays testing their own players and prospects?
Swanson had a brutal outing. ERA up to 16+
