Former Blue Jay, Jordan Hicks, so far so good in his first season as a starter in San Francisco. Only 27-years-old, and signed for 11M x 4.

Spencer Strider is getting an MRI on his elbow. Velo and control way off today.

So many injuries to pitchers. Will suck for the Braves if it’s Tommy John.
Unfortunately I get the feeling Pitchers are disposable, like the running back.

Both games against the Padres, too, so it wasn't exactly a garbage lineup.
I watched the highlights and he was still hitting 98-99 in the 5th-6th inning. His stuff looked nasty. I don't think his repertoire is as deep, but it reminds me of when the Jays converted Escobar into a starter in his last few years after largely being a relief pitcher (he was our closer early in his career).

My questions would be less about whether he’s capable of getting results as a starter short-term - obviously his stuff is nasty - and more about how long his arm will last before he needs another TJS.

Chad Dallas gave up 6 runs in 4 innings. Will Robertson with his 2nd HR of the year. He's off to a scorching start. Hasn't been on the radar for a while but maybe he might have some MLB upside who knows.

Cade Doughty playing for Dunedin tonight. Not sure if its a rehab thing or they want him back there for a while.

Remember when we didn't want to sell low on Manoah? He looks to be on his way to the Salvation Army bin now.

Too bad Mel Queen isn't around anymore. RIP.
