If teams and owners think that cap is really gonna hit 120, we should look at locking them up long term and taking some risks now, it could really pay off.

We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.
What This Means for You:
- If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
- If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
- Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

I'm skeptical about the cap going that high simply because a fair amount of that is TV revenue, and I'm expecting/hoping Diamond Sports is going to finally crumple and die in tha ttimeframe. They've barely been limping along as is.
Also I think the Canada/USA relationship right now is concerning to say the least. I can't imagine the cap will react kindly to an escalating trade war.

I would be surprised if he didn't.The question is how much? 9mm doesn't seem unreasonable to me. He'll be 22 by time deal starts leaving him the opportunity for another big deal if he lives up to the promise.

Quite possibly, but that's a volatile enough topic that it's going to end up with multiple site rules violations in short order any time we bring it up so I wasn't going to go there.

Whatever happened to HF politics boards? Was that a thing or did I hallucinate that? I went there once and there were a million posts there and then it was gone. And now I can't fully believe it existed.
Maybe he takes a $9m x 8 if you offer it this summer. I feel confident in thinking that number will be higher if you wait until next year to extend him.

It was indeed a thing that existed; it was just hidden from easy access. It was removed several years ago and the folks who wanted to keep talking about it set up a site elsewhere for that purpose.
