It's all adding up now. Vegas did Antonio Pierce as a placeholder sorta like how Nick Caserio had placeholder head coaches before Demeco Ryans. Pierce gets the job for no reason just until Brady is officially in the fold. Then Brady convinces Belichick to take the job.

My guess is that Bill will have a ton of options to choose from.

NY Jets
Jacksonville
Dallas
Cincy
Cleveland
NY Giants
Philly
Vegas

I think all of these jobs are either open or could be in play by the end of the season. I wouldn't rule out Buffalo, either.

Patriots rookie WR confidence unshaken after coach’s criticism - masslive.com

"I’m not dealing with [any] mental problems at all. No mental problems...I believe I have the best hands in the league. So, I feel like my drops, that’s not an issue at all...I feel like I’m limited to what I can really do right now...I mean, just continue to keep a good mindset and getting better...I wouldn’t say anything specific. I’ll just say I’m limited on certain things right now."

:insert everything is fine gif:

Of all the things Mayo could change from Belichick, going 180 on the media interactions was the dumbest.

So he's hurt but he's not saying he's hurt?

If that's the case and he's limited? He's hurting the team. Sit a game. Heal. More reps to Pop. To Bourne. Activate Baker.

I'd feel better if he was hurt, but I'm fairly certain he's complaining about the play-calling and having to play X instead of Z/slot.

You can rule out NYJ and CLE, not a chance he goes back to either of those places.

NYG is obviously the dream job, but Dallas is definitely enticing.

Am I the only one who if the Patriots aren't good just checks out of the football season altogether?

When the Red Sox suck I still stay abreast of the league in general and watch the playoffs intently. Same with the Bruins and the NHL. But if the Pats aren't competitive, I'm not spending any mental energy keeping track of who's the NFC West and how many TDs Mahomes has. It's like football shuts off.
