I honestly had no idea the Tigers had the longest drought. Expanded playoffs helps but goes to show how much parity is in the baseball.

Detroit had less than a 1% chance of making the playoffs on August 1st. As of now, they have a chance to be the second wild card in the AL.

technically they were tied with the angels who also last made the playoffs in 2014

Braves are starting Lopez tomorrow, Sale has not pitched since September 19th and they are extending that absence.
