Jose Alvarado tried to against the Braves but the Phillies held on. lead up to 10 games. I think the Braves would have had to swept this series in order to have a shot at the NL East.

I was at the M's/Jays tonight. Sums up the M's season with a deep rotation (Castillo today) and bullpen bailing out a lackluster lineup, which is why they're in first place. From 2022 onward, the Jays are 1-7 in Seattle and haven't given their BC fans who travel there much to cheer about.
As someone who hates the Yankees I want to laugh at this. But the baseball fan in me is disgusted by this. Volpe's lazy baserunning in that situation has ZERO place in pro baseball.
