I don’t think any of the other clubs have a have a lower SOS than NE should they all lose next week. Only way NE doesn’t draft at 1 is if they win.

Of the 3 win teams only Cleveland is playing a team that has to win in Bal (or they rely on bengals to beat Steelers) to secure the north.

Never know how these games play out when one club is resting guys.

Trade maye for giants pick. Get hunter with that and draft saunders he's way better than maye
Maye was 1-10 as a starter would've been 1-11 if Jacoby didn't come in vs jets and win he's ok but not a legit franchise QB saunders or even cam ward are for sure

Peyton Manning was 3-13 as a rookie and threw 28 interceptions that year. He turned out to be pretty good no? There is zero talent around Maye and he continues to make plays. He is a keeper in my eyes. Sanders may very well not want to play here per daddy.....do not want that future headache.

Trading Maye for the #2 or #3 and drafting Sanders and Hunter followed by firing Mayo and hiring Coach Prime is an idea so bad that a sick part of me wants to see it just for the Trainwreck potential
 
Sanders is going to bust at the NFL level. Nothing about his game screams good transition to the pros. And then you have to deal with Prime on top of that.

Maybe you take Hunter at #1 if the Pats land there but i'd be personally be looking to flip that pick if they get it. Could easily dupe somebody desperate for a small war chest to facilitate putting a more complete team around Maye

Unless Mayo does some serious soul searching this off-season, completely changes how he acts with the media, learns how to actually coach, and the roster significantly improves, I just don't see a path to 10-7.

Honestly his biggest flaw is how much he talks out of his ass, then has to walk back comments on the radio the next day. Believe me it absolutely rubs players the wrong way.

There is no way in hell this team can bring back this staff next year. Covington has been an absolute disaster. I can appreciate what's AVP has done with Mayes development, but there's a reason he wasn't calling plays in CLE, I think that's evident.

Have to get rid of Covington at a minimum, if not both. Would you let Mayo hire two new coordinators? I sure had hell wouldn't.

What's the point of a HC who can't hire his own staff?

I have no problem with them trading down to like 3 or something but I’m also getting to a point where if they just wanna take Hunter at 1 to ensure they get him I’m cool with that too

This guy knows WR, had Nabers as his #1, Bowers as the best te prospect ever, and was much higher on McConkey (had him as mid 1st rounder) and BTJr (10th overall ranked player) than the consensus


I’d also use him as a corner on clear passing downs in close games

I would. I don’t get caught up in all the noise. Mayo will be fine 10-7.

Mayo was a great player and smart guy

I have complete confidence in him

Sanders is the Temu Caleb Williams.

Ignoring how bad of an idea this is, it doesn't work. Trading Maye would cause a massive dead cap hit to the pats next year.

Listen I'm being serious I want them to win for them to do that they are in a good position to draft a legit number one QB and wide receiver we're both play together so they have chemistry that's how you get right back into being a contender not sticking a 1-10 QB back out there
 
No players-of-decade level in this draft. Hunter good but fragile. Sanders sold his fashion merc online in locker room during halftime, fraud. Trade down, draft McMillan, or Abdul Carter. Owner will try and influence first pick, get lost. Joe Milton III 'the project' collected all his practice squad money and will return next year as Joe MIlton III 'project 2'. This is how to measure progress amid the rubble.
