For all the Belichick bobos who couldn't comprehend moving on from him after he drove the franchise into the turf...the NFL did not want him. He was left groveling for college jobs. Sad!

(But I am definitely interested to see how this goes and who he brings with him)

Bill Belichick Confidante Details Why Coach's Move to UNC is Not so Wild After All — Sports Illustrated

"When this first came out, I called up a Bill Belichick confidante to be like, 'Hey, isn't this crazy?" Rapoport said. "The very quick response I got was, 'It's not crazy. Look at what Deion Sanders is doing. Look at all of Belichick's friends who are all in the college game. He could literally run this like an NFL program. The ACC is not good. He can win. Stop saying this is crazy.'"

"And I said, 'You know what? This actually makes sense.' Now it's real. "

Holy shit is this article a shinning red flag to any NFL owner, proving that they were absolutely right in not hiring Belichick. This guy is f***ing delusional. Nuts. Insane. He still thinks he's the story and doesn't get it was all Brady. Wow.

Now that the deal is done — Belichick agreed to a five-year, $50-million contract — questions are swirling about how he will build a staff; if he’ll hire his son, Stephen, away from Washington; and what the Tar Heels’ NIL operation might look like.

The school is reportedly increasing its NIL fund from $4 million to $20 million.

Belichick replaces 73-year-old Mack Brown, who was fired before the end of the season. The Tar Heels finished 6-6 and 3-5 in the ACC, slotting in at 13th in the conference.

Coaching at Carolina will give Belichick a chance to rebuild a solid Power 5 program into a perennial contender. As part of the interview process, Belchick reportedly presented a 400-page manifesto about how he’d translate his NFL skills to the college level.

Jonathan Kraft scares me as an owner

Bad temper & will meddle
100% accurate.

My good friend used to do all the catering at the stadium and had never had a nice word to say about Jon boy. Treats everyone like dirt.

I get people don't like Robert for various reasons, but I promise you we have it good with him still around

I give you credit, you called it, way back before Brady left. Maybe Bill and Pioli could come close, but Bill GM/Coach was garbage. All Brady. Should have chose him over the coach.
Can't get over how historically "loser shit" this is.
Agreed.

It reminds me alot of these politicians who won't retire. You know why? Because they spend the last 40-50 year never home, obsessed with themselves, so their family hates them and they have nothing to retire to.

Hey can one of you old(er) bastards tell me if Mark Gastineau belongs in the HOF? His resume seems like a no-brainer, so what am I missing? Simply that he wasn't the best player on his own defense?
