The fans on here who have been scolded for so long deserve an apology!

People kept pointing to current payroll numbers as an indication that ownership was still spending. It was a mirage. The trend was not spending like we are used to and that has been proven correct as we move along. It wouldn't be AS bad if these a-holes didn't have the audacity to raise ticket prices. That is a giant FU to your fans and an admission that you don't give a flying f if the ballpark is filled with various visiting fans throughout the year who travel to see their competitive teams take on the floundering last place Red Sox.

They had to settle for 15th choice as GM and the industry has been widely critical of the organization. This isn't just fans complaining on the internet. No, respected people who cover the game have been mocking the Red Sox all offseason. It can't be any more clear that John Henry needs to sell the team. Might not happen but GTFO already. Thank you for what you have done for the organization but please leave now.

We getting mad at agent garbage again?

He ain’t coming here and they certainly aren’t paying him $200 mill. Clearly Boras being Boras.
These big guys need the Mets and Sox involved which clearly they aren’t.

I absolutely think resetting the luxury tax was the right thing to do. (Bloom's most indefensible mistake was going over it during a shitty season and only by a mere pittance. Disgusting failure by him that year.) I also didn't mind using last season to reset in general, as their prospects needed another year.

But I also said every step of the way this off-season is when I expected them to be the Red Sox once again. My patience ended at Game 162 in 2023 and I'm as angry at them as everyone who already saw what was happening.

I love these kind of debates, and 1999 Pedro was one of the best I've ever seen.

But for me, 1985 Dwight Gooden is still the single best pitching season I've seen in my lifetime...That guy was unhittable. Absolutely filthy stuff...

Is this the entire list that BBA has?

The odd thing here is that there isn't a single American-born player on the list.....I find that troubling.

Not so much for the Red Sox, but for the future of baseball in general as a youth sport in the US.

Now, I may be misinterpreting what you're saying, but I don't believe you can have an American-born player signed during the International Signing period

As @RockLobster points out, this is the list of international players who signed with the Red Sox. Perhaps I misunderstood your earlier question when I posted the list. If so, my apologies for the confusion.

Got it. I missed that part. I thought this was the comprehensive list. Thanks for clearing that up...

What's the plan? Seriously, what is it? Because I thought I had an idea of what it was in October, but that clearly wasn't true. The only plan I see is "don't worry Breslow and Bailey are going to work their magic and perform a miracle with pitching." But there's no realistic organizational plan to get back into contention. It's all hope.

I didn't have an issue with Bloom's struggles because I felt there was a fairly clear plan, even if I disagreed with it at times.
