congrats to Juncos Hollinger Racing, they're on the Winners' Circle program for 2025 as Conor Daly finished 3rd to qualify the 78 for that incentive program

Alex Palou's car won't start Race 2 in Milwaukee. His car was dragged off the track! Four laps under yellow and now a crash at the start! Pole sitter Joseph Newgarden was hit by a Ganassi car. Points leader Palou then comes out of the pits, 5 laps down? Palou is out of the car on Lap 15. They took it back to the transporter. There are no garages in Milwaukee. What a dramatic start to the race!

The green flag starts the real race on Lap 17. The rookie Lundquist served a drive through penalty for taking out Newgarden on the yellow flag start. Palou is 28 laps down after a 12V battery replacement.

People are pitting on Lap 56, so it will be a 4 stop race, unlike yesterday. Will Power had the fastest pit stop and he leads. David Malukas went slowly, came into his pit and the crew just stood there for a few seconds. He is the 4th car out.

Palou is now 27 laps down. Thirteen of the 27, now 23 cars, are on the lead lap for Lap 77. The last one is the rookie Rasmussen.

On Lap 94, O'Ward came into the pits and got out of his car. He has a gearbox failure.

Everybody pits on Lap 98. Ferrucci takes the lead, followed by Harvey and Rasmussen. Power is in 4th. Power and McLaughlin are out front again on Lap 103. Veekay in 10th place is the last car on the lead lap for 110.

Graham Rahal was hit from behind and sent into the wall by Rassmussen. On the re-start Will Power spun out on his own. He changed tires and came back into the pits to change the front wing and lost a lap. Six cars are out and Palou is 28 laps down. At Lap 157, Alexander Rossi leads, Dixon, McLaughlin, Herta and Ferrucci.

People pitting on Lap 164 to 168. Herta leads with Veekay, Grosjean, McLaughlin, Rossi and Dixon on the lead lap.

Herta pits on Lap 188. Rossi and McLaughlin, then Dixon pit on Lap 198.

With 22 laps remaining, Stingray Robb hit the wall. The leader, Scott McLaughlin, may come in for tires. Yes, with 19 laps to go, ten cars came into the pits.

McLaughlin with Dixon, Herta and Rossi racing each other with 10 laps to go! Ferrucci pases Rossi for 4th with 5 laps to go. McLaughlin turned the fastest lap of the race. Dixon is chasing McLaughlin with 2 laps to go.

The finish was McLaughlin, Dixon and Herta on the podium. Ferrucci was 4th and Rossi 5th in one of the best races ever on an oval.

McLaughlin said this was "his best IndyCar race EVER"!

Alex Palou won the season championship today in Nashville at their super speedway oval D shaped track. Will Power was in 2nd for the points race, but his lap belt came loose on Lap 13 and he lost 5 laps, dropping him to 4th place in the championship.

It was Palou's third IndyCar championship for Chip Ganassi Racing. It was Chip's 16 championship!!!
