That 5 run inning was so amazing both of the Mets first 2 outs were sac flies! Definitely we’re excited when Wheeler was out. Hoping this 5-1 lead is enough to hold for 2 more innings.

It's only a couple games, but between this and how they beat the Brewers earlier in the week this definitely reeks of a magical and/or bullshit run for the Mets.

It's only 1 game in the playoffs, but another 0-fer for Trea Turner. He's gonna get run-out-of-town heat if he doesn't start figuring it out at the plate.

Yeah, that is once in a life time stuff.

And while that did work, he was a 5-tool player when signed, and is down to 2 1/2.

Trea got his ring with the Nats in 2019, played well on the Dodgers which in turn got a massive payday with the Phillies.

Not sure if he’s cashed in and dipped our he’s just whatevs.

He didn't dip, it's just this is a potential risk any time you sign a guy in their late 20s.

I thought he was a risk just based on the fact so much of his game is built on speed, but the speed is still one of the things he can lean on at least according to baseball savant.

He's dipped. He's not a good fielder, he should not be a shortstop. And he doesn't run like he was supposed to, and has still gotten hurt. He probably should be an outfielder, but that'll be harder since he can't run.

It's not like the Phillies have lost sight either, they talked about the division, being ready for the playoffs, and knowing how to not go cold at the plate the entire season.

The fans have been split about it. The argument all season has been about people not being willing to just enjoy the season they were having and being too focused on the playoffs. A loss in this series, and there will be no ambiguity next year.

Just imagine what Alex Bregman is gonna get in free agency

can't they just give him another standing ovation?
I can't believe they made a movie out of that

the second after the Phillies blew a 3-1 lead to Arizona the fans wanted him gone

Lol at all the empty seats.

Wow Clemens hits it to the wall. Phillies put a run across.

Is the umpire card out yet? That umpire had a very questionable strike zone today.,

Fletcher is overall lousy. Even worse Torres is on this crew too. Thankfully the remaining guys are all pretty good umpires.

I definitely think the bye hurt Philly today. Offensively as well as the pen. They managed to have 3 elite pen guys get blown up, all of which were on 6-8 days rest respectively.
