A quick check shows this Padres series is the 17th one for them since 02 and they won 5 Game1's between '20 and '21 where they lost in the NLCS and won the WS respectively

Yeah, it’s a miracle we got this far. And agreed, Fried has been one of my favorite players since he broke into the league. I will miss him, thanks for the WS.
