I have no idea why Stanek did not come back for the 8th. I would not have been overly confident Diaz does not get lit up in the 9th anyhow given he was only off one day rest himself having through like 67 pitches combined Sun/Mon. I think the best news for the Mets tonight is Maton is probably not available and Diaz is now on 2 full days rest. If I am Philly I hope the Brewers win. Their rotation should not give the Phillies any real issues whereas that Met rotation is way more dangerous, especially given Peterson will be able to go 2 times in that series
