I still think the Avs need to get Dowd.

Personally, I'm operating under the premise that Landeskog coming back is just gravy but I'm not banking on it. Getting Dowd, not only gives you a good faceoff #4C and penalty killer but it provides you with some insurance. If we get an injury in the Top-6 - the most logical player to bring up is Ross Colton either at wing or center.

If we do that, we'd probably need to bump up a guy like Dowd into the #3C slot even if it's not ideal. Otherwise, I don't really know what Bednar would do because we have wingers coming out the wazoo but none of these guys are even passable as centers, imo.
