It would explain all the forward trades. If LOC goes other way.
The point I'm contesting is the one 1st rounder. That would not be enough. Saros would be the best player traded this year and it would not be even close. We are talking about an elite goalie that can steal you series, there are only like 5 of them in this league.

He has had a down year, but I would argue he's the 5th best goalie in the world behind Hellebuyck, Vasilevsky and the New York Russians. In some years, he has been better than some of them as well.

Guys, it wouldn't be some shitty goalie. Let's think here.

1. Avs wouldn't trade Georgiev for some washed up, lateral or backwards move.

2. Annunen wouldn't get traded for a pure backup, he's worth more than that. Somebody acquiring Annunen is going to be giving him a long look and have presumably traded their starter away.

I guess it is possible that Annunen got sent down because we acquired another goalie. But I can’t help but assume Annunen has been traded for an upgrade.

Preds are overachievers this season (good on them), Zucker is a solid move to show your guys you're in this but not going crazy for a long run, losing assets, etc. Barry Trotz is good at this.
