Have liked Lavoie a lot from watching the past year and a half, hell of a lot of tools to be a very good shutdown D.

Like him quite a bit more than Noah Warren as a recent similar prospect out of the Q

Couple interesting guys playing across the river this evening.

Spencer Gill is a guy to look out for.

Unsure what our process and tendencies will be moving forward, but under the former regime he ticks nearly every single box

He should be a guy we're shortlisting

Likely another top 10 pick. Hopefully we don’t bungle it like the Boucher draft

We won't draft top 10. Too much talent on the roster.

Should be discussing who might be available 11-16.
Unfortunately for us, talent does not seem to win many games, probably just bad bounces.

We do not need talented players. We need players that provide WINS, and our players have consistently shown they do not do that.

Could have fooled me.

I hear this every season during a bad losing streak.

2009, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2021, 2022

Pretty sure all of those years we were out of the playoffs early and then went on a mid-late season run.

Only 2015 ended up with the team making the playoffs (thank you Hamburglar), the rest we just screwed up our draft position.

You can aim high (playoffs) or low (top-3 draft pick), but the Senators always go on beast mode to finish as a bubble team - the most disgusting place to be. Our last top 10 produced Tyler Boucher - a guy that doesn't play hockey and seems to be a figment of our imagination. At this rate, Dustin Rose is the better prospect.

I still have playoff aspirations, the team has never really been full-strength.
