A team that hates picking in volume, and refuses to trade certain NHL pieces, and loses picks in the margins, trades out of spots to pick lower to add volume -- after selling everyone how much they need to trade up for elite talent, while passing on falling elite talent for a fit pick.

Make it make sense.

They aren't even adding volume! This thing could be in 2026.

This draft is a clear F right now and I'm not sure how likely it is for the Flyers to make it ascend above a D. Given half their picks will be Flahr choices, it's impossible.

The Oilers have McDavid and they just ditched Holland. It could pretty easily be 32.
