Was pretty obvious it was leading to this when the guy didn't play a snap in the second half, Denver was up big but you just don't sit on the sideline in that situation if you're active + that big of a core piece. Not like Miami can do anything with his contract anyway, no team is taking that poison pill

Can't see them doing it, I think the "sleeper" team would be him ending up in SF after the Niners balk at the Purdy talks but it's just deja vu with the Jets at that point if Rodgers goes there. I really think he retires but who knows

I think Daboll's a good coach but Schoen absolutely blew his chance with me. He's a better drafter than Gettleman but is just as bad at evaluating roster talent.

To be fair, there may be no bigger disconnect in sports than the gap between most NFL owners and the players. It's easy to look at a top player and see how good he is, but football is a crowded field and maybe you have two or three great players on either side but over the course of a season you have tremendous amounts of injuries so at some points the roster will include guys who were on practice squads. I am skeptical that most owners are in any position to determine who is a good linebacker or slot corner or guard or fullback. I agree that most NFL front offices are not all that good. Some of that is because of the culture and some is because it isn't easy to pick good NFL players.
