As a Bucs fan I LOVED this

As a Giants fan I loved it. The Tommy Cutlets thing needs to be buried 12 feet under ground. He isn't good, he isn't the future.

This team needs to tank. They needed to tank last year. They might need to tank next year
All the dopes screaming for him got him and were booing him at the half.

What will always bug me is there is a fairly good chance Daboll goes somewhere else and finds coaching success.

The issues with this team start with Mara and all the yes men still in key roles since the Gettlemen years
That’s the problem I have with firing him. He’s not a bad coach but Mara got Jerry Jones Disease after winning a couple of Super Bowls.

Reddit Giants fans are absolutely deluded.

They really think one more GM and coach fired will really do the trick.

Which isn't to say they don't deserve to be fired. Daboll has clearly lost this locker room and Schoen does have to answer for the fact that this is a bad roster overall.

Plus he is the one that gave Jones that stupid contract. Though he might deserve a pass if ownership pushed him on that one

my question on the Giants as a person with no skin in the game there is, who are their good players?

Nabers is excellent.
Dexter Lawrence is excellent.
Andrew Thomas is very good.
Burns is good.
Tracy looks like he might be good.

what else is there? Their roster leaves a lot to be desired.

Think it's mostly just that.

Just saw that it's Bernie Kosar's birthday which reminded me of how crazy the 80s NFL Drafts were. I didn't get into the NFL Draft until the early 90's, so these were fun to learn about retroactively.

1983: John Elway refuses to sign in Baltimore, Jim Kelly signs with the USFL instead
1984: Bunch of the top prospects sign big money deals with the USFL
1985: Kosar causes chaos at the top
1986: Bo Jackson goes #1 but doesn't sign with Tampa after they accidentally on purpose made him ineligible for his senior year of baseball

Kosar was originally expected to be in the 1985 NFL Draft. Buffalo had the #1 pick but were going to take Bruce Smith (and maybe they knew it was a matter of time before they got Jim Kelly). Houston had the #2 pick and started to auction it off to anybody who wanted Kosar. Cleveland badly wanted Kosar but Houston wasn't going to trade with a division rival. Eventually Houston worked out a deal with Minnesota and sent #2 for #3 and #30.

But Cleveland figured out a loophole. Buffalo would also have the #1 pick of the Supplemental Draft a few months later, so the Browns worked out a trade with Buffalo for that pick while likely sending some back channel communication to Kosar telling him not to submit his paperwork to enter the regular draft. The NFL allowed Minnesota to try to convince Kosar to enter but in the end Bernie wanted to play for the Browns.

On draft day Minnesota traded #2 to Atlanta for #4 and #60. Probably not the ideal return for their original #3 and #30, but they did draft HOFer Chris Doleman.
