The defenses being what they are, the Lions are losing this game because of turnovers. If you need to speedball everyone to win, you can't turn the ball over. You can't do it even less in the playoffs, but the margins narrow if you're playing games in the 30's.

Lions fan here. What a bunch of choke artists, frauds, complete waste of a season. Just overall disgusted by them being utterly unprepared to play this game.

They had too many toys and wanted to play with them all.

They had a historic number of injuries. Mainly on the defensive side of the ball. What you're seeing are practice squad guys.

Spare me that bullshit.
This is not just about injuries man. Goff with two horrible throws, Ben Johnson with ridiculously stupid play calls, 12 men on the field on a 4th down. Washington didn't even have to do much, the Lions choked, the injuries are only a part of the story.

Which I already stated earlier in this thread.

But I will push on anyone here is who attempts to say injuries don't matter.

They certainly showed enough shots of the coaching yelling to call time out on that one.

That happens when you have a lot of guys who otherwise wouldn't be on the field.

This #40 took one snap on defense all season and all of a sudden he's playing nickel and has Kerry Joseph who had to physically put him in the correct position at one point.

Oh for sure, they missed Hutchinson, McNeil and Davis arguably their three most important defensive players so it was definitely a factor. The disappointing thing about this game is if they merely play their game and don't turn the ball over, it's more than likely a win. Turnovers a part of it but this is a team that prided itself in playing smart and sound football and I have no idea who these imposters were out there tonight.

Well said - Detroit was still favored by 9 coming into this game despite their injuries. 4 turnovers, bad play calls, penalties...the list is pretty long.
