They can’t simultaneously call those as late hits and let players tiptoe the sidelines.

Defensive players *have* to go for that hit because Barkley is 100% capable of planting a foot and cutting it upfield to try for the first.

I can't remember what game it was last week but I swear the same thing happened and there was no call because he was "completing" the play. Inconsistency with how they call that.
